WV Whitewater Commission River Use Reporting System
This is an Online reporting system for licensed commercial whitewater outfitters in West Virginia. Please use this system to submit your monthly river use reports to the WV Division of Natural Resources (DNR) for river segments on which your are licensed. To access this system you must obtain a UserID and password from DNR. UserID and password information are confidential -- you should take necessary precautions to preserve confidentiality. It is recommended that you keep a paper copy of your river use data as a backup for future reference.
- Select the month for which you wish to report river use;
- Enter your UserID and password, then click the Login button -- you then will gain secure access to a data entry form into which you may enter daily river use on the river segments for which you are licensed.
- Enter daily river use for each day of the month and each river segment. Daily river use is to be reported in user days as defined by DNR and the WV Whitewater Commission [click here for a definition of user days] .
- Click the Submit button to submit your river use data to DNR.
Licensed outfitters are still required to submit a user fee to the DNR in the amount of $0.35 per user day on designated whitewater zones and $0.70 per user day on Gauley River. Until such time that it is possible for user fees to be remitted online as part of this reporting system, you should mail a check for the amount corresponding to the number of user days reported each month to the DNR Law Enforcement Section.
Remember, river use reports and fees are due on the 15th of each month.
